Rose Petals (Rosa Damascena)

As a drink it is known for its detoxifying, analgesic properties, as well as its ability to relieve stomach pains and act against constipation. Dried flower infusions are particularly effective thanks to their antimicrobial and astringent action, as the warm beverage relieves sore throat and irritated tonsils, helps in bronchitis, pharyngitis and is an excellent tonic for the cardiovascular and nervous system, and even more important is their regulatory action with regard to the hormonal system. It relaxes from stress and helps in insomnia while doing good in cases of depression (antidepressant).

As a compress, they are septic and skin tonic, ideal for oily and acne skins. Inspiration and bath with rose petals are an excellent means of relieving stress, depression and other nervous illnesses, revitalizing and renewing the skin and relieving rheumatism, while dried rose petals help effectively in headaches and dizziness.
