Melissa is derived from the common name Melissa Officinalis and is the known elixir of life of the alchemist Parakelsu. In the middle Ages it is said that alchemists used melissa to make elixirs of youth. The essential oil of Melissorthon comes from the steam distillation of its leaves grown in Xirolimni Kozani in a perfectly natural way. It has a soft and warm scent, with a touch of honey. It is very rare and usually occurs in a mixture with other oils similar in properties.
